An unrestricted gift is simply a gift to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with no restrictions from the donor on how it is to be used -- although it can be directed to a particular area and still be considered unrestricted.  Your annual gift to NOBTS is a good example of an unrestricted gift.  Unrestricted gifts support NOBTS by allowing the seminary flexibility in planning how best to use the funds.
